I'm an animator who also uses Maya.

Overall, this was pretty neat. The designs and textures were pretty good and the lighting was appropriate. If I had to offer a suggestion, it would be to add more subtle movements to the character animations. For example, when someone's head turns, what does the rest of their body do? You could add slight motion in each spine joint to make it feel more natural. Try not to leave a character completely still for any period of time; even the slightest idle motion will make it look better.

Chitch responds:

Thank you, this is exactly what I'm after!
I don't know how I missed that! I had been trying to add secondary motion into the M60 when the character lowers the weapon. The weight of the weapon pulling down and the soldier trying to correct his balance of it, so I don't know how I didn't realise I hadn't done that.
Thank you for pointing that out. I have another project I am currently working on and I'm ensuring that there is no static moments on the characters. Doubly so, now!

You did a good job surprising me with that part with the rat at the beginning; that just came outta nowhere. I think you kept a pretty good balance of making it 'possessed' without going overboard and breaking the classic cartoon feel of it.

I apologize for this overused joke, but: "In Soviet Russia, dick eats YOU!"

Comick responds:

Ah thanks man! Yeah haha Skitzo has living pubes that kinda just do whatever they want! I'm not so sure Skitzo is aware of this though heh, but at least he got to eat something. Glad you liked it and thanks for watching! :)

Much better than the last one. Glad I could participate, even with school at the same time.

Zeebra responds:

With that in mind I would like to quote a few words from Adam Phillips "The more you animate, the better you'll get, because improvement is an almost guaranteed side-effect of experience." And even with all your multitasking you are much better than the last one :]

Nice little short

Though I know nothing about Double Dragon, at least when the guy was interrupted it revealed the answer, and wasn't just another disappointing "I know the answer! It's..." then nothing, kind of ordeal.

RicePirate responds:

is that what it was ?!?!!? OOPPPPPSs :)

Here's an idea:

You should have the option to pick what sound plays each time it hits, like have various buzzers and other random shit.

marvedabeeh responds:

that would be sweet
to bad i suck at flash

Trippy

Great representation of how people can get addicted to the stupidest things. The scary part was very theatrical, and right after Caxx got poisoned when the music slowed down reminded me of WarioLand 4 for some reason. Nice ending as well, caught me by surprise but seemed like something I should've expected.
Overall a new favorite in my book, great work guys!

redminus responds:

WTF, there's a Wario Land 4??
And thanks yeah, I wasn't kidding when I said this was based on a true story. Well I was kind of kidding actually maybe

Pretty good

Not the MOST interesting joke but it was still good. I like the backgrounds and the characters were drawn pretty good too. I do have a few suggestions though:
Lip sync Sudowoodo's mouth while it shows the picture of his family.
Make Dawn's derp face more epic the second time it shows up and not the same exact face.
Make the pokeball so the shadow and highlight don't end up in the wrong place after the ball flips.
Shade Sudowoodo while he says the 'sick person' line because he was shaded the rest of the time.

I don't understand why every single review other than Spazkid was marked as useless. He must have an army of peons to mark anything that disagrees with him as such.

OnionsXD responds:

He does have an army of peons to pretty much blam and rate useless everything I make. I have no idea why they do it. They must have no lives.

and about your suggestions. I actually had thought of doing all of those. But by the time I was finished with the animation I was sick of the joke and just wanted to be done with it. XD
For the future though, i'll bite the bullet and work out kinks like that.
Thanks for the review! :D

Hmm. interesting

At first I was like 'how I made sprites? that's stupid' thinking like video game pixels, but then I was reassured. Very fluent motion and cool effects. Maybe you should add some simple shading to make them more dynamic. Also that one 'sprite' where he punched and left his arm extended after knocking back sandbag, his punching arm seems to be too high. Other than that, this has a pretty good style.
Also a flying kick would be cool so he doesn't have to stop after running toward his target.

TheGreeNate responds:

thanx for the review. Yeah I do need to shade these, I also need to give him some more attacks, but I can't make him seem overpowered LOL! I'm gonna add some enemies over the weekend. I also need to add more effects as well, hit sparks, block effects etc.

Sound quality...

The voices were much too low (oops, didn't see your description till just now) and I wouldn't suggest telling us to turn the volume up when there's sudden smacking noises that are much louder. Try normalizing your voice recordings after recording. Also I couldn't tell what he said at the very end (even with sound up).
That music doesn't sound like he's playing games either...

guitan11 responds:

yeah, like i said. i made this just so that i could test out the mic. thanks for the feedback.... and at the end? he said "facebook!!"

I'm not gonna lie...

I was curled up in a ball laughing so hard because the 'preloader' said "Loaderizing" and even more than that, the really crappy "Whoops" coupled with the really crappy animation that froze midway. and then I see Weirdal365's review and that just made me laugh even more.

But this does not excuse yourself from receiving a score of NONE.

I think you can do much better if you spend more than 15 minutes on it (unless this was an attempt at making awkwardly funny spam. If that's the case, then you nailed it)

MichaelObeton responds:

Tis no spam, friend.
Also, I'm pretty sure that this is a really good animation. Please give me a 10/10.

Been animating since 2010, and studied Visual Arts/Animation at ULL from 2010 to 2014. Now I'm just exploring and trying to find myself in all the rubble.
